Bricelyn Community Garden Improvements
The Community Garden Improvements project is a collaborative effort between Community Partners of Faribault County (CPFC), the Bricelyn Community Club, the Bricelyn Food Pantry, and the City of Bricelyn. This initiative aims to revitalize and enhance the community garden, creating a space that supports both local food access and community gathering.
Planned Improvements
Planned enhancements to the community garden include:
• Planting additional fruit trees that will provide fresh produce for the Bricelyn Food Pantry during the harvest season
• Installing benches and picnic tables to create a welcoming space for residents and visitors to gather and enjoy the garden
• Improving the overall beauty and functionality of the garden as part of a welcomed revitalization effort
These improvements will help strengthen the connection between the garden and the food pantry while creating a more inviting community space for everyone to enjoy.
Preserving a Piece of Local History
As part of the revitalization effort, an attempt will be made to repair and relocate the historic town clock from the city park to the community garden. Moving the clock to the garden will help preserve this piece of Bricelyn’s history while allowing it to be appreciated in a setting where more people can see and enjoy it.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Community members can help support the garden improvements through sponsoring fruit trees, benches, or picnic tables. Optional dedication plaques are also available. These plaques offer a meaningful way to honor loved ones, recognize families, or celebrate community connections while contributing to the revitalization of the garden.
Sponsorship order forms are available through the CPFC website (links below).
